About Us

St Antony’s Centre provides front line Information, Advice and Guidance services to various community & faith groups, charities and employers across the North West. In addition, the centre is accredited training provider and currently holds contracts across the region to deliver predominantly Maths, English and ICT courses across a number of community venues, employers and partner locations. The face-to-face provision is complimented by an extensive range of distance learning CPD and vocational qualifications.

As well as the outreach provision St Antony’s boasts permanent bases in Manchester, Accrington and Blackpool from which services are delivered in partnership with others. The Head Office facilities in Trafford Park Manchester also provides Conference, meeting and exhibition space.

ACT Community Partnership has to date been successful in securing a building and undergone extensive renovations to provide a fit for purpose resource centre for the primary purpose of Advice, Counselling and Training. The organisation is actively developing a network of strategic partners to provide front line services to the local community through the different strands. In addition the new facility (The ACT Centre Blackpool) will provide accommodation for front line organisations as well as training and meeting space for hire.

Brew Me Sunshine is a Café situated within the old Visitor Newspaper building in Morecambe. The Café space is shared with the Galloway’s sight loss services team and creates a warm friendly approachable atmosphere for people to access and learn about the sight loss support offered by the charity. The profits from the café are donated back to the charity.

Brew Me Sunshine won our Work and Training Social Enterprise of the Year award in 2021.

 

WAYS TO TRADE WITH THIS SOCIAL ENTERPRISE 

The café is developing and growing with a view to creating employment opportunities for people with visual impairment. Revenue generated by the café supports this work.

The Creativity Works Preston Production Centre is based upon the Danish Production school model.

CWP offers an alternative form of education to people of all ages who need or prefer to learn in a different way to the traditional education system that is predominantly academically based to one that is project-oriented and provides individualistic tuition. The crux of the learning environment and pedagogy is learning through doing; practical work and the solving of tasks in a working community aimed a real production and marketing of goods and services. We offer bespoke training courses in Hair & Beauty, Food & Nutrition, Teaching & learning, Media and Music, Sport and maths & English.

We offer a pre 16 programme to referral agencies such as Schools, Lancashire County Council Missing Education team, Youth Offending team and any agency responsible for young people aged 14-16, with places available for up to 40 young people. ABOUT US

Veterans in Communities (VIC) supports serving and ex-services personnel and their families, and members of the emergency services who have experienced difficulties in transitioning back into the community. We offer a range of services including outdoor activities, support to access specialised services, outdoor activities, hands-on projects to benefit the community, SInging Group and Art Group.

Everything we do is focused on assisting our members to improve confidence, wellbeing in all its forms, achieving goals and being part of their local community.

Our building in Haslingden has rooms available as office space, therapy space, arts and crafts, and a large conference room with flexibility in its layout.

About Us

The Recycling Lives charity acts as a safety net for vulnerable and marginalised people. We offer accommodation, education, training and work experience to homeless and long-term unemployed individuals, with the aim of helping them back into full-time work and finding them a place to call their own.

Our charity work is supported by the successful commercial activities of Recycling Lives Ltd, a Queen’s Award-winning recycler and waste management solutions provider.

David Allen represents Selnet Member Recycling Lives and is currently the Chair of Selnet’s Board of Directors.
