ABOUT US

Laugh Live Love promotes the physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual welfare of older people on the Fylde.

We do this by providing a weekly luncheon club from St Paul’s Church Hall in Fairhaven.  Additionally, we deliver hot three course meals twice a week to members who are unable to attend the club and do a weekly fish and chip drop off.

We hold activities for social interaction and creative sessions to help encourage the learning of new skills and rekindling old hobbies.

There are weekly Coffee and Computer sessions to teach older people how to use digital devices and have a tablet loaning service with one-to-one support.

Volunteers make weekly contact with members through our Chatterbox project, a telephone befriending service.

We have an adapted wheelchair accessible vehicle to transport people in wheelchairs and members unable to drive or access public transport.

ABOUT US

As a not for profit, social enterprise, Travel Assist has designed the business model on the foundation of their two major social objectives, which are;

(1). Making transport accessible for those who experience difficulties reaching mainstream transport.

(2). Creating and sustaining long term employment opportunities.

From the very start, Travel Assist has based all business decisions on the ethics of our social objectives, which is to provide opportunities, equality and respect. However, as the business has developed, Travel Assist has recognised that it has a responsibility to look at the impact the work carried out by the organization has on the environment. Therefore, a third social objective has been added:

(3). Sustaining responsible use of energy to minimalise the impact on the environment.

Graham Jones is a founder director of Selnet, and currently represents Travel Assist as a Director on our Board.

Ways to trade with this social enterprise
