Preston’s City of Enterprise

Helping Preston’s entrepreneurs to start, grow and succeed

From June 2025, we have been delivering this programme for Preston-based entrepreneurs and enterprises (fully funded by UKSPF) to help turn ideas into a businesses, launch new ventures and grow established companies.

As our project ends, it’s a great opportunity to reflect and celebrate what’s been achieved.

We originally set out to support 25 start-ups and 25 entrepreneurs and we’re proud to have exceeded both targets.

Through a combination of workshops and dedicated 1:1 support, we have ensured participants gained not only the knowledge but also the tailored guidance needed to move forward with confidence.

Beyond the numbers, the real impact lies in what participants told us they gained:

✔️ Clarity and motivation to launch their business

✔️ Practical guidance and expert advice

✔️ Increased confidence

✔️ Stronger knowledge across marketing, finance, and legal

✔️ Tools and insight to support sustainable growth

✔️ Valuable connections with local advisers and fellow entrepreneurs.

We have also surpassed our outcome goals by creating and safeguarding jobs, advancing technology and processes, and driving business growth.

All of this demonstrates a greater impact than we anticipated — and it’s only the beginning, as these businesses continue to grow.

We are proud of everything that has been accomplished. These are case studies of the City of Enterprise project in action:
