WAVE – South Ribble
The Work and Vocational Employability (WAVE) project for South Ribble residents aged over 16 years old was completed in March 2025.
This project was aimed to help economically inactive (not in work or currently looking for work) residents to move closer to the labour market while breaking down barriers that stopped them from reaching their full potential.
Participants lived in South Ribble (specifically with their addresses being within the boundaries of South Ribble Borough Council) and were economically inactive (individuals are those not in work and not actively seeking work – unlike unemployed individuals who are actively seeking work).
Our WAVE Key Worker supported participants through their journey. They identified barriers and worked towards breaking them down, with support from digital and life skills to job searches and training, tailored to each individual.
