The Social Enterprise Lancashire Network, Selnet, was set up in 2006 and, as we approach the 20th anniversary, a vacancy has arisen where you have the potential to take the organisation to the next level.

Over two decades, Selnet has developed an enviable track record for accessing support money to strengthen the VCFSE sector in Lancashire and ultimately help our members provide services for the most vulnerable people in our society. Selnet has one of the biggest social enterprise memberships in the country doing truly amazing work. Meanwhile the 12-strong board of seasoned social enterprise directors gives the organisation unrivalled governance.

Current contracts include Under One Roof, a service for Lancashire residents with no other means of support to access essential furniture and domestic appliances, WorkWell to support people recently unemployed due to a health condition or disability or struggling with their job to start and stay in work and Business Advice, commissioned services to provide expert help to people setting up and looking to grow their business.

You’ll bring your excellent understanding of the sector, coupled with business acumen to drive the development and promotion of both Selnet as a non-profit trading company and the wider social enterprise sector across Lancashire through an income generation strategy, while continuing to further develop Selnet business support services and its membership offer.
