Scheme Manager – Essential Household Goods and Support Scheme

Having delivered this service in different contracted formats since 2013, Selnet are thrilled to have secured this new scheme commissioned by Lancashire County Council that will launch on 1st December 2021. The scheme will deliver for a minimum term of three years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.

Sourcing and delivering essential household items for successful applicants is a very well-established part of the service. This element will continue to be undertaken by a long term established partnership of Furniture Reuse Organisations (FRO) who are geographically positioned to deliver the essential items across the 12 Lancashire County Council districts. The new contract brings with it new strands of support for its service users. Selnet will now conduct the initial applications and assessments when a referral is made to the scheme. Selnet will not only support suitable applicants with household appliances and furniture but will also offer an holistic package of advice, guidance and signposting which looks to improve the circumstances of an individual or family.

We are seeking to appoint a full team to manage and deliver the scheme, starting with the appointment of the Scheme Manager, who will then in turn help to recruit other team members. The Scheme Manager will ensure that the scheme offers an accessible, fair, and impartial service that effectively supports Lancashire residents at a very difficult time.

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to lead this vital service. You will require an in-depth understanding of the issues faced by Lancashire residents who are in crisis situations or in high need for support. You must have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and a strong track record of preparing detailed performance, progress and risk reports. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a high-quality end-to-end solution for individuals and families who access this scheme.
