The Lancashire Social Enterprise Project

At Selnet we specialise in social enterprises; business models that help to address social problems. We provide information, training and networking opportunities for our members across Lancashire, including guidance from qualified business advisors and workshops on important business topics.

Through the NatWest Skills and Opportunities Fund we are able to deliver the Lancashire Social Enterprise Project which will support aspiring entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds, to explore self-employment and social enterprise to help improve their economic circumstances. We will provide support across the county, particularly in deprived areas, for people looking to set up their own enterprises and to promote social enterprise and self-employment as alternatives to the traditional labour market.

From April 2018, we will be running sessions to explore opportunities both within self-employment and social enterprise careers, and run business skills workshops to small groups. Those interested in pursuing a business idea will receive 1:1 development and start up support from a chartered business advisor.

For more information and how to participate please email and join us on social media for events and updates!

Thank you to NatWest for funding this project.
